This weekend, my mission was to get a picture in front of the Hollywood sign, at my secret spot very close to where I live, sporting a Bagel Bin t-shirt for the owner of the Bagel Bin in Bernardsville, NJ.
The Bagel Bin is a wonderful bagel shop in New Jersey, where I grew up, that my family and I have been getting bagels from since I was in middle school, which I continued to enjoy until I graduated from high school. Then, every time I was home from college, the first stop was there to get my morning bagel.
Now, even though I live across the country in LA, each and every time I am home, I stop in, right off my red-eye flight as they are opening, and continue to pick one up each morning while I'm home, which always starts my day off perfectly! :)
The owner and staff have been so kind to me and my family and even learned over the years that I love the very lightly baked ones, so, they pick those out specially for me every time! I enjoy mine with their oh so yummy light chive cream cheese a slice of ham to create one of my all time favorite sandwiches!
To this day, my sisters and I, don't even bother ordering a bagel anywhere else, but especially in LA or on the west coast, because they are just bread with a hole in the middle! The Bagel Bin has perfected their bagels with the right elasticity in the dough that can't be beat!
I truly believe that you haven't had a real bagel until you have had a Bagel Bin bagel! :) I feel that most of you out there who are from the tri-state area would agree that that area on the east coast knows how to make pizza and bagels! :)
In fact, when I guest-starred as Lindsay on the TV show "Eve,"
Eve and I were talking during rehearsals and before the taping and pizza was brought up, which prompted my thoughts above on pizza and bagels and because she is from the PA area, she was so expressive about my thoughts on them and agreed with me hands down...it was too funny and we felt only those of us from that area really understand! :)
Anywho, the owner gave me a Bagel Bin t-shirt and really wanted a picture of me in it by the Hollywood Sign and so it became my mission and was accomplished this weekend! Woo Hoo!!!
I can't wait to give her the pictures below and pick up my bagel while I'm back home for one of my best friend's weddings in June, which will also mark my unexpected love's first Bagel Bin experience when he flies in for the wedding...I have prepped him for the goodness he will encounter! ;)
I hope you all had a fun-filled weekend and perhaps accomplished some missions of you own! Have a Marvelous Monday and Terrific Tuesday ahead!
I'll be on set filming tomorrow, which also happens to be my extraordinary dad's birthday...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA JOHN...but will check back soon with updates and pictures on everything as well as some more fun, affordable fashions! :)
