On a side note...
My poor nephews, sister and brother-in-law have been on the ground, but sitting on the plane pushed back from the gate, at Hong Kong International Airport for the last almost 7 hours and still haven't left for JFK!
Once they do, they have a 16 hour flight on top of that...I am feeling for them right now! Also, since they can't contact us, we are having trouble figuring our their status. You would think in 2012 tracking a flight would be easier, but even the airline website is wrong! Flight Aware seems to be the only accurate info, since all others record pushing back from the gate as takeoff, but they are still sitting there, oh my! :)
Here's to hoping they take off soon...I suppose to incorporate another quote, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" LOL!!!
:: UPDATE ::
After 2 hours on hold and then finally getting a person at the airline, I think I have concluded that the info was incorrect online, from the airport site itself and on the phone flight status message...it may in fact, according to someone from the airline, be in the air, and only left an hour and 30 minutes late, which isn't bad...fingers crossed! :)
