packaging

It comes in a sleek 0.80 fl oz. glass jar with a pump applicator. I know this isn't ideal for traveling, since it is heavier and glass, but you can simply pump some into a smaller travel jar to take on the go.

COLOR

soft, champagne gold with a slight yellow gold undertone that reminds me of sunshine and enhances your natural skin tone to give a sunkissed look.

SCENT

THE FIRST THING THAT STRUCK ME WAS THE BEAUTIFUL, NOT OVERPOWERING, SUBTLE SMELL OF COCONUT, WHICH JUST TRANSPORTS YOU INTO SUMMER.

it looks quite beautiful on the skin. However, it can get a little clumpy in areas if you don't blend well and a little goes a long way! That said, it creates an incredible, natural highlight that truly does last all day.

truth

the amount provided will last you quie some time, which warrants the higher price, but you are also paying for the name. I believe you can create the same affect using a more affordable or drugstore highlight.

nonetheless, it is pretty, the coconut scent makes you feel like you're on vacation, I'd RECOMMEND it and will happily be sporting mine this summer.

REVIEW: GLITTER-INFUSED MOXYO SCREEN PROTECTOR - ADD SPARKLE TO YOUR PHONE

AFFORDABLE FASHION: SPRING-TASTIC OFF THE SHOULDER DRESS BY EVER-PRETTY

INFLUENSTER REVIEW: MARC JACOBS BEAUTY BOX - HIGHLINER GEL EYE CRAYONS

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

I recently joined the Influencer team, a fantastic group and platform for fellow style and beauty bloggers where you get sent complimentary product to test out.

Marc Jacobs Beauty sent me some of their new Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayons in Earth(quake) and Brown(ie) to try out and review for all of you.

Honestly, I haven't really tried high end make-up, but have been a fan of Marc Jacobs for some time and currently wear his Marc Jacobs for Women Parfum and it is a true favorite of mine.

So, I was excited to try something from his beauty line when given the opportunity. Below, I share my finished look, swatches, full review and an assortment of images and colors from the collection.

* earth(quake) is more of a dark chocolate color while
Brown(ie) has more of a red undertone.

The eye crayons glided on like butter, had incredible color payoff and what was most impressive was it did not budge - at all!

I even tried rubbing it off under water and no matter what I did, not a thing moved, I was extremely impressed. So much so, I would, without question, pay to try some of the more vibrant shades.

At $25 each, with 12 shade options, it's more then I'd usually pay for eyeliner, but for a high end, designer item with undeniable quality and lasting wear, it's well worth it. If you try them, you will not be disappointed, mark my words!

REVIEW AND STORY TIME: HAIR TALK WITH COVER YOUR GRAY + PROMO CODE

Happy Friday the 13th, Blogland!

I happen to love Friday the 13th, how about you?

I'm jumping into the weekend with a new Story Time feature talking about something that can be a little scary when you first discover them and tying it into a review.

When I do reviews this year, I'm going to try and tie in a personal, relevant and true story from my life. All in hopes of making them more relatable and sharing more of myself with each of you, just as so many of you have with me over the years.

Plus, I plan to share more of the things I use in my daily life that I love, along with those that don't work so well for me, since I love those posts and videos by other bloggers.

Ok, here we go . . .

I have naturally blonde hair, with a strawberry undertones, that gets lighter in the sun, but leaves those parts underneath a darker, more honey, caramel blonde.

Therefore, I'm pretty lucky that any gray or white hairs don't really show, and if they do they appear light or platinum blonde.

However, about 2 years ago, while pulling my hair halfback, I discovered what I now refer to as by "skunk stripe." Yes, that's right, think Peppy Le Pew!

By the length of the white section, it had to have been growing for years, but I never noticed it since it was in an under section. All I could really do was laugh. after the shock of first realizing it was in fact a grey streak (eeek!) wore off!

Followed by taking a picture of said skunk stripe to send to my sisters, of course! ;)

Also, I have a major cowlick, so I have always parted my hair on the right side, or my hair would simply bounce back over. If I parted it on the left side my white streak would shine.

To this day, I still send random check-in pictures of it to my sisters for a good laugh and always let it make an appearance when visiting them because we get a kick out of it and why not! :)

When Cover Your Gray, a line recently featured on the Today Show, reached out to try their super affordable products, I wanted to give it a shot to see if I could say farewell to my "skunk stripe," which sometimes peeks through when I wear my hair up.
