REVIEW + GIVEAWAY: KEYSOCKS - WHEN FASHION, COMFORT & FUNCTIONALITY MEET

Happy Monday, Fashionable Friends!

I was recently introduced to KeySocks, an affordable, super soft and comfortable line of socks that allow you to wear your favorite heels or cute flats when the weather gets cooler.

The socks are knee high in length, but don't show as a sock in the front, which makes them pair well when wearing pants or your favorite, go-to jeans.  I think its perfect for booties, which you'll see below, because sometimes you can see the front part of your foot, but with these you won't and it adds extra comfort to the heel area.  Love it!

Not only do they add that little bit of extra comfort, but with football season, apple and pumpkin picking in full swing, they add a little warmth as well without having to compromise your fashion.

Their online shop offers a variety of staple and versatile colors from their original, light and girls lines. Plus, they offer a 100% money back guarantee because customer satisfaction is their top priority!

Plus, I'm giving away a pair to 1 lucky Fabulous Fashions 4 Sensible Style Reader!  Just scroll to the end of this post to enter and Good Luck! :)

AFFORDABLE FASHION REVIEW: CLASSIC COLLECTION BY NICKI MINAJ

Mermaid Prom Dresses

Happy Monday, Everyone!

Popular recording artist, Nicki Minaj, recently came out with a classic and couture clothing line.

Her team reached out to me and introduced me to her Classic Collection, which offers a variety of dresses, tops and skirts, all under $25.  The affordable prices made it a perfect fit form my blog, and one I wanted to share with each of you.

The line offers a way to "look fashionable and feel confident in your curves," something I like, since I've always had fuller hips.  Each piece in the collection is "created with easy-to-wear fabrics including versatile rib knits, soft ultrasuede, and comfortable jersey cotton blends."

They kindly sent me the Rib Zip Front Midi Dress in black, seen below on the model and then on me, to review.  It offers a versatile, classic black dress look, which can be dressed up with some heels or down with a some chic sandals or even flip flops on the go.

I'm someone who doesn't love having things fitted around my hips, but the dress they sent is super soft and with quality stretch that gives added comfort and movement.  Although the dress is lightweight, it is not see-through, which is often a problem with lighter fabrics, so, this was an unexpected positive factor.

Overall, the knee length cut and sleeves, seen on most of her tops, dresses and skirts, make many appropriate for the work place and will transition seamlessly into happy hour or dinner after work.

Also, there are a number of more club worthy, fitted, low cut and backless options, which fit Nicki Minaj's overall persona and style, but with a balance of some more conservative options, which fit my style, it does offer options for a wider range of tastes and styles.

1.
Textured Flannel Neck Crop Top
$19.99 (Available Colors: Red & Black)

2.
Rib Knit Zip Front Midi Dress
$19.99 (Available Colors: Black & Gray)

3.
Mock Neck Ultrasuede Dress
$24.99 (Available Colors: Camel & Black)

Dress: Nicki Minaj Classic Collection = $19.99  /  Black Heels: Steve Madden - TJ Maxx = $34.99  /  Bronze Clutch: Target = $6.00 (on christmas sale - available in 4 additional colors)  /

UPDATE AND LOOK OF THE DAY: FALL DINNER AND A PLAY READING IN NYC

Happy Holidays and Monday, Bogland!

It has been far too long since I posted here, and I have truly missed you all so much!

Honestly, it has been a busy and difficult year for me personally.  Yet have no fear because in 2016 I plan to be back with a new look and posting weekly, once again.

As many of you know, blogging was a passion of mine for years, but life got in the way a bit and I found myself without time, true inspiration or the energy you all deserve.

That said, I'm getting ready to take a risk, fully follow my heart, embrace my creative soul and get back to sharing affordable fashions, my 'Get Crafty' DIY ideas, quotes and positivity in 2016.  All in hopes of leaving each of you who stop by a little space in bogland a bit more inspired.

In the meantime, enjoy this affordable Look of the Day for under $75.00, from head to toe.  I recently sported it to dinner at the Pinnacle Bar in Times Square and a play reading of You Never Can Tell, starring Stockard Channing, which The Roundabout Theatre Company o kindly invited me to attained in NYC.

Fall has been gorgeous on the East coast and incredibly warm as we approach winter and Christmas, record breaking even, which makes me feel as though I'm back in LA LA Land, but with lovely leaves.

Thank you all for your patience and continued support over the past year, it means more than you know, and I'm sending each of you great big hugs and hope you are enjoying the holiday season thus far.

If you are interested in a further look into my life through pictures, you can always follow me on my Instagram @lieslehardt where I post daily! :)

GET CRAFTY: DIY CLUTCH ORGANIZER USING KITCHEN LID RACK

Happy Monday, Blogland!

For those of you in the US, today is Tax Day, so, be sure your taxes are postmarked! :)

A midst my move to New York City, while out and about shopping for things I needed for my new place, I stumbled upon a Lid Rack in the kitchen aisle at Target for about $6.99 each.

For some reason, and maybe because I don't cook...hehe...I immediately thought...

Why couldn't I put my clutches in it instead, to keep them organized
and standing upright in my closet?

So, I purchased one to test out my little idea, and sure enough it worked perfectly!  Love it when I try to get crafty and it actually works! :)

It was too simple and affordable not to share with all of you, so, here is my little DIY Clutch Organizer!  Enjoy, and feel free to share your ideas in the comments below!
Lid Rack: Target - $6.99 (similar)

| POST UPDATE - AUGUST 2017 |

This Lid Rack is still available, but the price has increased to $7.99.  More important, I want to thank EVERYONE for all of the support on this post!

I had NO idea this little idea, that I randomly had 4 years ago while in the kitchen aisle at Target, was going to go viral and be so useful to so many people around the world.

That, plus being published in Woman's World Magazine and featured on Good Housekeeping, Buzzfeed, Yahoo, MSN and many more wonderful sites, has made this an unexpected and lovely journey, Thank You!

Happy Friday, Lovelies!

Hope you had a great and productive weak, and that you are about to kick of the weekend with a fun-filled adventure or perhaps relaxing time at home!

I haven't done a Look of the Day in a while, since I've been on the go and rather busy, but I did get a chance to capture the super casual look I sported on Valentine's Day, and, so, here it is! Yay!
Sometimes I'm a little too silly for my own good, but a gal must have fun in life...especially the older she gets! ;)

My look was super affordable, coming in at just over $88, but the total doesn't include my Steve Madden leather boots since they were a gift from my super sisters. Everything else is included, including the coral scarf my Marvelous Mother gave me!

___________________________________________________________________

Total Look = $88.51*
*(minus boots that were a gift)

As you can see, it is a look anyone could recreate, and probably using pieces you already have in your closet! Honestly, I had no idea what I was going to wear that day, just pulled something comfy, since I knew I would be on my feet most of the day, along with a little coral pink to celebrate the Hearts Day and headed out the door!

Yesterday, another Liesl in blogland...love it...from Pretty Random Things tagged me to answer the following questions, so, here I am with my answers! Yay! :)

1. What did you eat for breakfast today?
I had a Smart One egg and cheese sandwich with my usual morning coffee with coffee-mate peppermint mocha creamer! Yum!

2. What is one thing you do when you’re by yourself that you wouldn’t do with other people around?
Oooh, good one! Probably talk to myself from time to time, yes, this happens...am I crazy?!? ;)

3. What is your guilty pleasure?
If this is considered a guilty pleasure, I get a good laugh out of watching TMZ when with my sisters or my mother, who loves that show...hehe...it is something silly, mindless and entertaining when we are together! :)

4. Do you prefer coffee, tea or neither? Why?
Coffee for moi, but with Splenda and lots of creamer, but I also enjoy tea, the English way, with some milk and sugar in it, however, my tastes just lean more towards coffee.

5. Do you believe in “love at first sight”? Why?
Oh my, well, I do believe that someone can intensely catch your eye and leave you wanting to know and see more, but I think love takes more time to develop, as to not be mistaken for lust, if that makes sense.

6. Are you subscribed to anyone on YouTube? Whose videos do you watch religiously?
I don't often subscribe on YouTube, but I do watch a few users often. Those include: WendysLookBook, TheStyleDiet, TheSacconeJolys, DulceCandy87, SamanthaScherman, MichellePhan, MakeupByTiffanyD, EmilyNoel83, LisaEldridgedotcom especially before I go out and purchase new, make-up and things to see their thoughts on if it works, is it worth the price, etc., and ShayTards from time to time, they just entertain me and are such a good, fun and loving family. Plus, each of their videos are great quality and well edited, which is nice.

7. Can you do anything “weird” with your body?
Don't know if it is weird, but I can bend my thumb all the way back to touch my wrist.

8. What was the last book you read?
Honestly, I am not much a reader, never have been, though I know reading is important. So, the last actual book I read would be The Alchemist, I think, and then, I recently read a fun little book called It's Not Easy Being Green: And Other Things to Consider, given to be by my dad, and found I relate to the late Jim Henson in so many ways, specifically his thoughts and views on the world and people!

9. Do you prefer winter or summer? Why?
There are things I like with each. I love being able to wear scarves, layers and boots and get all cozy and warm in the winter, especially when its snowing out, but then I enjoy fun sundresses, skirts and sandals in the summer and simply enjoying the beautiful, warm weather.

10. If you can travel to any country this year, where would you go?
This year, I would say back to Africa to volunteer with the children or else back to Australia because it is one of my favorite places and the people are so friendly...love the accent too! ;)

11. What is your favorite time of the day? Why?
I have to think about this, but I believe it would be late at night, I'm a night person, and believe it or not, used to not go to bed before 3 or 4 AM, though I did my best to break this habit last year and now tend to be getting tired sooner the older I get...oh my...anywho, it is so quiet at night, people aren't' calling you, some are asleep and it is just a nice time to relax and not feel like you have to be somewhere at a certain time, etc.

Feel free to be a part of this tag or answer any of these questions yourself in the comments below! I'll be back tomorrow with more quotes, and then, on Monday with a recent affordable fashion find and spot online! Woo Hoo! :)

Wishing you a delightful weekend ahead, I'll be busy, but will take some moments to enjoy it too!
