Happy Monday, Blogland Friends!

I hope you all had a relaxing weekend.  Mine was filled with getting things done and those small, but sweet, everyday life moments.

. . . a bike ride, crafty errands, planting herbs, vegetables and flowers to enjoy through the summer, watching movies, working on my cooking skills making a fresh lasagna, enjoying refreshing cocktails and delightful wine in good company.

You may have noticed a few tweaks and layout changes, over the course of the past few weeks, here on Fabulous Fashions 4 Sensible Style.  It's an evolving work in progress that's molding into it's own.

In the weeks ahead, you will be seeing more Collaborations, clothing and accessory Reviews, special Promo Codes exclusive to my readers, fun Giveaways, Look of the Day, Look 4 Less and Life posts, along with my weekly Saturday Sayings inspiration.

I am making this small space online a priority once again.  Since it debuted back in 2009, it has been a part of my life and followed my personal journey.  Just as in life, sometimes we need a break to reevaluate, I did that, and recently the fire and passion I had for it prior was reignited.

My most exciting venture will be happening later this month when my own affordable line and online shop Sensible Style officially opens!

It's been in the works for some time, and since I'm creative at the core it was something I simply had to pursue.  I'll debut it here, along with it's meaning, message, shop link and what goes with each purchase.

Ultimately, I needed to find the drive to push forward and really give it a full go.  There is always a chance it won't succeed, something being an actor for over 15 years gave me plenty of practice in, but sometimes you have to push those fears, anxieties and doubts out or your way and go for it! 

I'm looking forward to sharing more with all of you here in blogland, and I will continue to show a peek inside my life daily over on my Instagram, one of my favorite social media outlets.

Thank you all for your continued support.  I never imagined this space could grow into what it has or that I'd get to know and meet so many of you from around the world, many of whom I consider friends.  All thanks to this online outlet that's allowed me to share my life, interests, passions, inspiration and more.

Together anything is possible, and your outlook is key in creating the life you wish for yourself. ❤

Happy Holidays and Monday, Bogland!

It has been far too long since I posted here, and I have truly missed you all so much!  

Honestly, it has been a busy and difficult year for me personally.  Yet have no fear because in 2016 I plan to be back with a new look and posting weekly, once again.  

As many of you know, blogging was a passion of mine for years, but life got in the way a bit and I found myself without time, true inspiration or the energy you all deserve.  

That said, I'm getting ready to take a risk, fully follow my heart, embrace my creative soul and get back to sharing affordable fashions, my 'Get Crafty' DIY ideas, quotes and positivity in 2016.  All in hopes of leaving each of you who stop by a little space in bogland a bit more inspired.

Fall has been gorgeous on the East coast and incredibly warm as we approach winter and Christmas, record breaking even, which makes me feel as though I'm back in LA LA Land, but with lovely leaves.

UPDATE: 2 WEEKS AND COUNTING WITHOUT POWER

Happy, Happy Friday, Everyone!!!

Since Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast, almost 2 weeks ago, I have been without power. Then, a Snow Storm hit on top of that 2 days ago, but we are making the most of it, as best we can, even when it is 40 degrees inside and I can see my breath! Oh my! :)

I have been trying to get a little free Wi-Fi from a local Panera, one of the few places in my area with power who are also allowing others to use their Wi-Fi for free, and wanted to at least post something to let you know that I am alive...hehe...I miss you all, and I am so sorry for being so MIA!  Lots of catching up will be done when things get back to normal! :)

I had no idea when I posted my last blog, just minutes before the power went out, about the "State of Emergency," which was in effect, that this would last 2 weeks and still be going on!  However, everyone has offered such wonderful support and sent such sweet messages, thank you!

As soon as I have power back, I will have a full picture show of everything before, during and after Hurricane Sandy, as well as a Get Crafty DIY, fun review and giveaway!  Until then, I have been posting frequently over on my Instagram and from time to time on Twitter and Facebook for quick updates!

SIDE NOTE:  I look forward to being able to change my header, too, seeing that Halloween is now over! :)

I was at the Austin City Limits Music Festival all day Friday through Sunday, and have gotten a bit behind on my blogging, but I'll be back in LA LA Land on Wednesday and plan to start catching back up on everything then with a normal schedule!

MINI UPDATE

Happy Saturday, Everyone!

Sorry for being a bit MIA, I am house sitting and my laptop won't connect to the internet, so, I am using their computer, which is great, but I can't access my pictures to do my new posts.

My unexpected love and fabulous fiancé is with me, so, it has been so nice playing house...hehe...and seeing what that will be like one day for us in the future! :)

We have our engagement session, which I did lots of talking about in prior posts, in Laguna Beach on Monday, which I am excited about. So, I'll be sure to let you know how that goes and then as soon as we get some pictures back from it I will be sure to post them in a Wedding Wednesday!

UPDATE: FALL LIST MOTIVATION

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the extra hour to your day on Sunday!

Some of you may remember that back at the start of Fall, I created a little Fall List Motivation and posted it on my blog.

So, seeing that a couple months have now passed, I wanted to revisit it and see what I have successfully completed off of it for fun!

Here is my original list with those completed crossed off...

• Enjoy my first Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks.

• Discover more lovely blogs online and share them with my Supportive Subscribers.

• Burn lots and lots of warming cinnamon, pumpkin, autumn spice and vanilla candles.

• Bake my unexpected love some goodies.

• Find somewhere in LA where I can enjoy the leaves changing.

• Finish my massive cleaning, organizing and downsizing of things overhaul and donate

all usable and nice things to charity.

• Visit my adorable nephews. <--- (Trip is planned!)

• Book a another commercial or theatrical (TV/Film) role. <--- (I have not actively pushed this, which leaves only me to blame.)

• Make strides forward in being able to give back to my extraordinary parents for all they have given, and continue to give, to me. <--- (Additional giving back is needed & planned!)

• Host another fun giveaway for my Fabulous Followers. <--- ( I have a plan for one!)

• Write a thoughtful "just because" letter and mail it to someone not expecting it.

• Start thinking about my Winter list and set of goals. <--- (It has begun forming in my head!)

See I found somewhere in LA to see the leaves change!

Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised that I had accomplished far more than I had thought, and was on my way to completing others...Yippeee!!! Plus, those left to fulfill I feel I can do in time, which makes me oh so happy!

Also, there is one more thing that I had hoped to accomplish, but didn't post because I didn't want posting it to alter the outcome unfairly, however, let's just say it is very close to be accomplished and if it is...I'll post what it was! :)

Have any of you created a list of things, and if so, how far along are you?

It really does help keep you motivated and offers a really great freeing feeling when you actually complete them...and who doesn't like that?!?

Now, let's see if I can accomplish all, including my secret one, before Winter hits!

QUICK UPDATE

Happy Monday, Everyone!

I just got back from a whirlwind weekend from my friend's wedding in Pawley's Island, which was filled with lots of delays and airport closures. The wedding was lovely and it was really nice to get away to a smaller, very friendly southern small town and away from LA LA Land!

Just wanted to let you all know that I am still without my laptop. Apple needed to send it in to have the battery replaced, which went in on Thursday of last week before I left, and was supposed to take 2 days...so we shall see! I had to pull out my very old iBook, dust if off and fire it up...hehe! :)

So, I am very limited to what I can see and do online since it is much older software and most websites don't show right at all, but still impressed that it works! :) I really look forward to catching up on all of your lovely blogs as soon as I get my fabulous laptop back and will be posting lots of pictures from my weekend as well!

Thank you for all the wonderful comments and for standing by while I am offline, so to speak. I should be fully up and running again very soon...at least I hope so. I sometimes forget how much I need a computer and the internet in my life! ;)

TABLE READS, HAIR & MAKE-UP TESTS, FITTINGS & FILMING WHIRLWIND

Hello, Lovelies!

I have been in the midst of table reads, hair and make-up tests and wardrobe fittings as I get ready to film next week for the hit show I recently booked, but have to keep fairly quiet on until it airing time. However, I promise to fully post info and pics when I can and truly appreciate all of your support! :)

So, with that, I haven't been as on top of finding fun and affordable fashions for all of you, but I have not forgotten about you! :) Plus, I am loving all of your wonderful and encouraging comments and e-mails, as well as reading all your wonderful blog posts out there...so fun!

Anywho, I recently purchased the below dress in the indigo blue color shown, since I seem to be obsessed with it recently...hehe...as well as in classic black, from Target and look forward to styling and wearing it soon! It was $ 24.99, but I got it during the Mossimo brand sale for $ 17.99, which is an even better bargain!

Not sure that the sale is still on, but either way, it is still available in Target stores and online in an assortment of colors and patterns in case you are interested!

I'M BACK WITH A PERFECTLY PURPLE LOOK FOR SPRING 2010!

'Tis true, I am back, and I am so, so sorry for my long delay! :)

One thing I noticed while away from blog land was how much I missed finding, putting together and posting fun and affordable fashions for all of you and just how much I love fashion, in general, but specifically at a great price!

I mean, why have just one item for $100 when you can have numerous! That said, I completely understand having a few designer pieces or costly items, even I have a couple, but I prefer to get those that are unique, classic and timeless! :)

Ultimately, I want to thank you for all the sweet and supportive comments and e-mails and let you know how much each is appreciated and how excited I am to be back! :) I decided to make my comeback with a look that will take you comfortably into spring and using one of the fashion colors for 2010, purple!

The look below was inspired by a perfectly purple spring dress from Alloy and accessories from head to toe by my beloved Forever 21, minus the wooden and gold bangles also from Alloy and as seen on the model. I also used some of my previously shown items for past outfits I put together to show how you can create new looks with items you already own as well!

In my next post I shall update you on all that has been up with me and add a few pictures, of course! :)

LA TO NYC TO DC AND BACK: A MINI SUMMER WRAP UP

Hey Everyone!

I am so sorry for being MIA! I was back east enjoying my beloved NYC and getting to see family and friends before making a quick trip to DC to visit my adorable nephews and host my younger sister's surprise bridal shower! :) I am now back in LA and will bring some more fun fashions at an affordable price very soon!
