A PAWLEYS ISLAND ADVENTURE

Happy 10-10-10, Everyone!!!

Here are the rest of the pictures I said I would post from our traveling to and from Pawleys Island, and the whirlwind of adventures we had during our quick weekend there for a friend's wedding, which consisted of lots and lots of mexican food, but I could eat that everyday! :)

Also, we purchased a meal and snacks on board our Delta flight, which I don't usually do, but we were up at 3AM to leave for LAX at 4AM and get checked in for our 5 hour flight before landing in Atlanta for our 3 hour layover before getting to Myrtle Beach, SC where we rented a car and drove to Pawleys Island.

Upon arrival and after renting our cute, Jeep Compass, which I have to say I really enjoyed, we were off to check into our hotel and then drove around finding a place that looked fun and yummy for dinner.

We stumbled upon a Mexican restaurant and ran into none other than the bride-to-be and some friend, which was a complete surprise, but the island isn't that big either....we both must have had chips and salsa on the brain! ;)

Then, we were off to the PIT (Pawleys Island Tavern) where we had planned to meet up with the bride-to-be for drinks, dancing, and fun on her last night as a single lady.

One unique thing about this tavern is the endless dollar bills posted all over the walls and ceilings with things written on them by different people. If you look closely in the last picture of the bills below, and view it bigger, you might spot the one my friend Mary wrote and posted for her husband-to-be J.R.! <3

Our friend's wedding day offered a beautiful sorbet colored sunset at the reception, which I just had to try to capture along with a quick pic of me and my friend Kendra with whom I traveled from LA to Pawleys Island.

One of the little exciting moments was when we drove by and actually saw a Piggly Wiggly, which is basically a nice grocery store. I had always heard about them in movies and things, but I didn't know if they actually existed and I happen to love pigs, so, we just had to go in and check it out!

They were selling t-shirts and Kendra and I felt we just had to get one, and I bet you can guess which color from those below I chose to purchase! ;)

Oh yes, the PINK one, baby! Plus pigs are pink and I felt it was a must...Kendra got the purple one and we sported them that night before going on a late night food run! :)

Finally, while out to eat at Texas Roadhouse on our drive back to Myrtle Beach for our flight back to LA, we stopped in the bathroom and I loved the sign in my stall that I just had to take a picture!

Plus, they offered a really amazing had scrub that smelled like a PiƱa Colada and left your skin baby soft and smooth!

Overall, we had a really fun, but busy whirlwind of a weekend in Pawleys Island and I just had to document it as I do most things! ;)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and check back for a Look of the Day that I will be posting on Monday, along with, hopefully, some pictures from a fun and fabulous Canadian Thanksgiving dinner last night!

  3. This is such a cute post, and I am so happy you had such a great time in SC, at Pawleys. But I have to say I am cracking up with your fascination of Piggly Wiggly! I have grown up in SC and "the Pig" has always been around and my most favorite grocery store to shop. Unfortunately they have closed several in Cola town where I live and no longer have one conviently near me. I have a northern (Jersey) cousin who shares your enthusiam for "the Pig" too! LOL! By the way, that shirt looks fantastic on you!
