BEST DRESSED: PRIMETIME EMMYS 2012

Happy Monday, Fashionable Friends!

Wanted to put a quick post together of some of my top looks for the Primetime Emmys, which were held in LA last night!

I was at a little viewing gathering, complete with one of my favorite mexican dips, which was delish, and enjoyed the awards, just as I have since I was little.

Sofia Vergara in Zuhair Murad*
*(Loved the color and beading, and thought this was classic Sofia and perfectly shaped for her lovely curves.)

Sarah Hyland in Marchesa*
*(Thought this was elegant, pretty and appropriate for her age, though I would have chosen a lighter shoe.)

Giuliana Rancic in Rafael Cennamo*
*(Loved the angles and classic, timeless simplicity and shape of this dress.)

Lucy Liu in Atelier Versace*
*(Thought this was very unique, but looked better on TV and when moving, than in pictures where it looks a bit stiff.)

Heidi Klum in Alexandre Vauthier*
*(Loved the color and easy moving flow of this dress, especially against her tan, glowing skin, though my slit wouldn't be as high.)

Kerry Washington in Vivienne Westwood*
*(Loved the draping, weight and color, but I think it looked better on TV and when moving, than in pictures)

I don't think I was blown away by any of the looks this year, but do think many were pretty and wearable, not just off the runway couture or off the wall.

However, many read better on TV then they did in pictures, and I'm sure looked even different in person.
I'm off to Indiana this week, but will be back with lots of pictures on Wednesday!  I've been a bit busy and haven't had time to post my recent Look of the Day, but it will be up next week!

  1. I didn't watch the show, but I enjoyed seeing these pictures of the lovely gowns.
What on earth will you be doing in INDIANA? (No offense to your Indiana readers intended.)

  2. I think Heidi's leg slit was even higher than Angelina's Oscar dress slit! :)

    1. I agree! If I had worn it, it would have not been as high a slit, but I loved the color! :)

  5. I missed the show and I'm so glad I got to catch up here and have a good look at some of the outfits. I love what you chose. If I could wear any of these dresses, I think I'd pick Heidi Klum's dress because it's sexy and I like the color, even though I'm pretty skeptical about how good it would look on me.

    1. Hey, Shay! I actually thought she looked great, too, just thought it was the same style and cut that she always wears, but the color was lovely! :)
