LIFE | 9-11 MEMORIAL TRIBUTE IN LIGHTS + A BRIEF SEPTEMBER 11TH REFLECTION

HAPPY MONDAY, EVERYONE!

I AM THINKING OF AND REFLECTING ON SEPTEMBER 11TH TODAY, ALONG WITH MOST OF THE WORLD, AND AM SENDING VIRTUAL HUGS.

NO MATTER HOW MANY YEARS PASS, IT IS SOMETHING I REMEMBER VIVIDLY.  I WAS LIVING IN NYC WHEN IT ALL HAPPENED AND IT IS THE SOUNDS FROM THAT DAY WHICH STAND OUT THE MOST TO ME 16 YEARS LATER.

a year or so after THat fateful day, I MOVED OUT OF NYC TO LOS ANGELES, BUT THE MAGIC OF THE CITY LURRED ME BACK ALMOST A DECADE LATER.  TO THIS DAY, NEW YORK CITY IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CITIES IN THE WORLD!

Over the years, I HAVE REFLECTED ON this day here ON MY BLOG IN THE PAST VIA A LETTER TO NEW YORK CITY, IN A 12TH ANNIVERSARY REFLECTION, A SEPTEMBER 11TH REFLECTION AND I REMEMBER 9.11.01,  AMONG OTHERS.

BELOW, I SHARE AN IMAGE I CREATED DAYS AFTER THE EVENT, WHILE LIVING IN NYC, TO SIMPLY SHOW MY SUPPORT. as well as A COUPLE PICTURES I TOOK looking up FROM THE ROOFTOP OF MY APARTMENT IN THE FINANCIAL DISTRICT A COUPLE YEARS AGO, WHERE I SAT WITH MY THOUGHTS AND MEMORIES FROM THAT DAY IN 2001.

in the photos you SEE THE 9-11 MEMORIAL TRIBUTE LIGHTS SHINING BRIGHTLY AND ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER AND THE FREEDOM TOWER STANDING TALL NEAR BY. ALMOST AS TO SAY, I'M LOOKING OUT OVER YOU AND WILL NEVER FORGET.

PICTURE SHOW: NYC HAPPY HOUR SUNSET BOAT CURISE, ROCKWOOD MUSIC AND LIFE

Happy Labor Day, Everyone!!!

Just a quick week wrap up in pictures...it's been a busy week on so many fronts and one of my best friends from college was up visiting from North Carolina for the weekend!

Pictures of us are on her camera, so, those will be coming later, but pictures from our adventures were on mine for the most part via my Instagram.

We went on a sunset Happy Hour cruise along the East River, which was fun and got to see all the NYC landmarks in all their glory on a beautiful evening.

Among other adventures all over the city in 2 very full days, from Washington Square Park to the Financial District by the Freedom Tower, Little Italy, SoHo, The Village and more!

I promise some affordable fashions, reviews and DIY will be on their way soon...I just need a little time to get things sorted out and in order in my life first!

Thank you for your patience!
