GET CRAFTY: DIY COFFFE AND BAR CART FOR $35

Happy, Happy Monday, Blogland!!!

It's time for another Get Crafty DIY project!  Yay!!!

As many of you know, I recently moved into my NYC apartment, but what you might not know, is that I have also been admiring many bar carts seen on Pinterest and on other lovely blogs!

For Christmas, I got the Keurig coffee maker and a bunch of K-cups from my parents, so, I decided I wanted to create a coffee and bar cart and make my own little corner of just that for an affordable price!

When I stumbled upon the BYGEL Utility Cart at IKEA for only $29.99, I had a vision, and the rest, as they say, is history!  So, I was able to create my own coffee and bar cart for only $35!  Happy, happy Liesl! :)

After finding some Chevron Shelf Liner in gray, to match the theme of my new place, all that was left to do was to Get Crafty!!!  Here we go...

(Project, layout and design created by Liesl Ehardt)

Bar Cart: IKEA  /  Chevron Liner: Amazon  /  Bar Sign: Home Goods  /  Rainbow Coffee Mugs (similar): World Market  /  Bar Glasses: Home Goods  /   Silver Martini Glasses: Home Goods  /  Keurig: Costco  /  K-Cups: Costco

  10. I've been on the hunt for a bar cart for so long. I've had my eye on the Bygel as a stand in but have been hmming and hawing because it's white/plastic. Thanks for the post, the answer was so obvious (and easy!)

It's just too bad they aren't as cheap in Canada!

    1. Thank you so much, Maria! Makes me happy that others are making it, too! The Bar sign was a lucky find at Home Goods and it measures 13 1/2" x 6" at it's tallest and longest points! :) Good luck, and I'd LOVE to see yours when you are done!

  21. I bought some shelf liner in a black/gray chevron. Hoping mine turns out half as nice as yours. Even with the guides on the underside of the liner, worried about my cutting. We will see....Thanks for the inspiration! :-)
