Happy Tuesday, Everyone! Life, work and volunteering has really been taking me away from blogging in the past few weeks, with all wonderful things, but I assure you that I am still her and hope to get back to my usual blogging routine as soon as possible. Anywho,I wanted to let each of you know that the lovely and very talented Rosi Golan has a new EP album Fortuna out todayand available over oniTunes!
I can honestly say that her music is something I truly enjoy, listen to and love the lyrics within. Not only now, but for years prior to ever having gotten to work with her or get to know her as a person and artist, as I have over this past year. I hope you are all having a lovely start to the week and thank you again for your patience! I post daily on Instagram if you want to keep up with everything in my life via pictures between posts here! :)
Happy Saturday, Everyone! Life has really taken me on a whirlwind of emotions and experiences this months and this week has really tested my strength in positivity, but I going to keep smiling and believing! :) Sorry I have been away, but I promise to be back in full swing very soon, and truly appreciate all of you and your kind words, especially on Instagram, you are all so supportive, thank you!!! Thursday night Greg Holden, one of the artists with whom I feel fortunate to know and work side by side with, performed at Rockwood Music Halland what a show it was, so great! So, instead of Saturday Sayings this week, I'm sharing his performance and song, which I think spread an uplifting and inspiring message of its own.
Greg Holden performing at Rockwood Music Hall on August 29, 2013.
It provided a much needed night of music therapy for me, and he sure puts on such a fantastic live show! More important, he is one of the kindest, most positive, genuine, give and talented people I know, and I am so, so proud of him! I videoed his performance of "Just Give It Away," a song he wrote about simply letting go of your worries and anxieties in life that hold you down, which was pretty must speaking right to my heart, and it is such a great song!

First, I want to thank all of you for your messages, comments and e-mails about my childhood friend, they meant more than you know!
I am happy to report, that this evening, May 4th, she was found alive and has been taken in for treatment, which was the perfect news to end a lovely day in Central Park, we are all so happy! :)
Next up, Saturday Sayings...
Right before I left LA, a dear friend of mine, whom I met shortly after moving there, at the age of 24, played the following song for me, saying, "listen to the lyrics, I think it's made for you."
When we met, I was younger, bright eyed, smilie and ready to make a difference. So,today, for Saturday Sayings, I'm sharing that little, upbeat song with all of you. Hopefully, some of you ladies find a little inspiration within it...enjoy, and remember what you stand for and believe! :)
The lovely Annie Dressner is back with a NEW EP album titled East Twenties, which refers to her roots in New York City, coming out this Monday, April 8th. She was kind enough to give me an advanced copy of it to review!
Her songs continue to deliver that indie folk feel with a lot of heart behind them, which makes them relatable. She is not only a singer-songwriter, but plays the guitar, too, which I love, that blends with her unique and natural talent!
A fun, little piece of trivia is that the artwork was drawn by Annie when she was 2 years old! If you look closely, you'll see a clown standing on one hand! :)
She also included her single titled "Heartbreaker" for me to share will all of you! Check out her new single below and let me know what you think!
I'll be back on Monday with a spring line fashion post from my e-Shakti dress shoot, which was so much fun!
I suppose I should call today Music Monday...maybe a new thing! :)
I hope you all had a lovely Easter, andthank you for all your sweet comments over on my Instagram, Facebook and Twitterwhile I've been a wee bit busy...you are all something else! ♥
I know I haven't posted here quite as often as I used to, due to work and and life, but I am quite happy right now and loving NYC more than words can express! Yay!
It has been a whirlwind of music, shows, artists, some of whom I saw perform in LA and am now working and chilling with, in between lots of New York City adventures, oh how I love living downtown! :)
This past week, my boss sent me Twin Falls, now called Twin Forks, rough cut album to listen to and give my thoughts, you may know the lead singer from the very successful, award winning band, Dashboard Confessional.
Well, let's just say I'm obsessed with the music, especially "Scraping Up The Pieces," which I'm posting for your listening pleasure! The other songs are just fantastic, can't wait till you can all hear them!
We'll be working with them in Europe, and I'm looking forward to lots more great music from them and the other lovely groups with which we are joining forces! I started out in music over a decade ago and never knew I'd be back in it, but oh how happy I am to be back! :)
Enjoy, and don't for get that today is April Fool's Day...so, be careful! ;)
Many of you know I now work with many artists in music promotion and design marketing, and whenever I come across someone new and fresh, I am always open to giving them a listen! Plus, I love independent artists, music and of course lyrics, just as so many of you do!
I wanted to introduce the lovely and talented Annie Dressner to all of my wonderful readers! She is a singer-songwriter, originally from New York who recently moved to the UK, who offers music so many can relate to, delivered in a very letter-like, conversational and lyrical form.
I recently spoke with Annie about her start, music and inspirations, and she was kind enough to answer a few questions I had, so, that all of my Fabulous Fashions 4 Sensible Style readers could get to know her better!
The minute I sat down to listen to your new album, it was the name of it, "Strangers Who Knew Each Other's Names," that jumped out at me. What inspired that title?
Two reasons really - since it is one of the tracks on the album & secondly, because I thought it sounded nice (although it is quite long).
I really like the style and sound of your music, and think "Strangers Who Knew Each Other's Names" and "Fly" are two of my favorites. Mostly because I love the lyrics and stories that songs can express, and each is relatable to me on some levels. As well as "Hardy Boys" for the catchy, upbeat tempo! I know most artists consider their songs to be their babies, so to speak, so, each hold personal connections and love, but do you have a favorite off this album, and why do you love it so much?
I'm glad you like them! (Thank you.) Since I don't want to skew anyone's views on what they might like best - I am not going to pick one. Sorry - I know that is not exactly answering your question. I've written each one at a distinct time in my life - so... it's a bit hard for me to choose.
What artists currently out there do you admire most, and is there one in particular with whom you'd like to collaborate?
Yipes! Well - one of my favorite bands is Belle & Sebastian. Perhaps Paul Simon will want to play a little tune? Haha. Mr.. Simon?
When did you decide that music was your passion and the path your would take in life, and is there anything else you could dream of doing?
I have always loved to sing for as long as I can remember. I started to write music after high school & started taking it seriously about four years ago. Another passion of mine is photography - but the order definitely goes 1. Singing 2. Photography.
Why did you decide to make the big move to the UK, a place I used to live and enjoyed, from your hometown of NYC, where I currently live, and what have been the biggest changes for you as a musician?
I moved to the UK about 18 months ago. The accents are amazing, right? As far as music goes, I have been able to play to many more people as I have been touring around. I have enjoyed the opportunity to perform in many different cities to many different people.
If there is one piece of advice you would give to anyone interested in following a musical path, what would it be, and was there a piece of advice you were given that has rung true for you?
Perhaps - only do it if you love it & not with the intention to make money.
Many of you know how much I enjoy some good tunes, especially lyrics, so, I wanted to introduce each of you to Katie Costello, one of the artists with whom I am working.
I quite enjoy "Cassette Tape," for a fun, upbeat, tune, but am also loving her NEW single "Everything Has Its Way"for the lyrics, gentle tone and melody. You can take a listen below and see what you think!
Nothing like some music to take you into the weekend, if I do say so myself! :)
Her new music video for"Everything Has Its Way"holds a unique concept, and I love her music videos are different and hold visual meanings in a new, creative and interesting way!
Katie explained to me that in her new video...
"By using contrasting scenes in the natural world and the "concrete" / urban world, the music video for "Everything Has Its Way" captures the surreal and bizarre ebb and flow of our every day life. The time lapse technique in combination with mirrored images embody a sort of simultaneously mundane and fantastical aspect of our environment. Each and every object or creature in this world has a perspective, a personality, and is an unique character in the ongoing story of our universe. The omniscient eyes flickering throughout the video speak to this truth. The world is a complex web of simple truths, and this video captures that beautiful juxtaposition."
NEW "Everything Has Its Way" Music Video.
I think she captures this essence quite well in her video above, but let me know what you think! :)
Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below, I'd love to get your thoughts and pass them onto her! She has such a fun personality and is quite funny too, which I love!
Other that that, fashion week is in full swing, here in NYC, and so, that means my lovely model friend is in town! Yay! Enjoy your weekend, we sure will, and check back tomorrow for more quotes!

As many of you know, who follow me on instagram, I was at Joe's Pub in SoHo on Wednesday night for the CMA Songwriters Series for industry folks, and what a show it was!!!
She also wrote, Timing Is Everything from Country Strong, which happens to be the song a friend in LA sent me before I left for NYC. I hadn't heard it before, but she thought it was where I was in life and would enjoy it and the lyrics. I had no idea who wrote the song, so, when they sang it at the show, it was a full circle moment for me.
While seated front and center for the show, at a comfy, cushioned, little table surrounded by soft, candlelight, great energy and people, I realized just how lucky I am to have fallen into the job I did, I almost had to pinch myself! :)

The talent, vocals and harmonies of Little Big Town are truly quite something, especially live, it is almost unreal, plus, they are such nice people, down to earth and quite funny too!
Needless to say, I had an amazing time, and felt like a rather lucky girl to have an invite to such a great night! I was always familiar with them and enjoyed their music, but am now a fan of them as people as well!
Check back tomorrow for lots more quotes, and have a Wonderful Weekend ahead!

Wanted to share Rosi Golan's new music video with you, just in time for her show at The City Winery in NYC tomorrow night at 8PM, along with the lovely Mindy Smith!!!
I will be at the show, and would love to meet up with any of you in the area! Just e-mail me or leave a message below to tell me you will be there! Yay! :)
Sheets falling and forming shapes, Drowning to stay awake
Closing my eyes to make sure you’re still here
Holding my every gaze, savor and keep them saved
In just a moment light of day will break
Oh oh oo oh oh so Oh oh oo oh oh so
Lets lay low lets lie right here
Underneath a beating heart everything will disappear
Lets lay low lets lie here tonight
Underneath a beating heart everything will be alright
Lets let all the fading stars remind us of where we are
I know they may seem far away but this seems like the time to say
All that I need to say
Oh oh oo oh oh say Oh oh oo oh oh so
Lets lay low lets lie right here
Underneath a beating heart everything will disappear
Lets lay low lets lie here tonight
Underneath a beating heart everything will be alright
Anywho, I hope you all enjoy this new tune, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below, which I will share with Rosi who loves hearing your thoughts!

Plus, during my time in LA LA Land, I found that I had a growing love for graphic and layout design as well!
I am currently working with the funny and radiant Rosi Golan,Greg Holden and a true talent in the music industrywho manages each, with whom I'll be busy helping promote, run interviews and doing some creative layout design in between possible tours in the US and Europe.
