MY BLOGGING JOURNEY BEGAN ALMOST 9 YEARS AGO, AND I AM IN AWE OF THE OPPORTUNITIES IT HAS BROUGHT AND THE WONDERFUL PARTNERSHIPS I HAVE FORMED OVER THE YEARS THROUGHOUT ITS GROWTH.
Happy Monday, Everyone! Three years ago, while getting settled into my New York City apartment, I had an idea while in the kitchen isle at Target. This idea turned into a simple Get Crafty DIY post here on my blog. Say what?!? I had no idea this was an undiscovered way to store clutches, I was just tired of mine falling over! :) So, this got me thinking that there must be additional uses for it. I was inspired to revisit the post that put my little blog on the map, so to speak, and see what my brain could create. Below,I'm sharing more simple uses I came up with for the very same Lid Rack. Target still sells it, the only difference is that the price went up $1. Hopefully, they each offer some more useful ideas. Enjoy, and thank you to everyone who has supported my blog over the years. Mine was filled with getting things done and those small, but sweet, everyday life moments. . . . a bike ride, crafty errands, planting herbs, vegetables and flowers to enjoy through the summer, watching movies, working on my cooking skills making a fresh lasagna, enjoying refreshing cocktails and delightful wine in good company. You may have noticed a few tweaks and layout changes, over the course of the past few weeks, here on Fabulous Fashions 4 Sensible Style. It's an evolving work in progress that's molding into it's own. In the weeks ahead, you will be seeing more Collaborations, clothing and accessory Reviews, special Promo Codes exclusive to my readers, fun Giveaways, Look of the Day,Look 4 Lessand Life posts, along with my weekly Saturday Sayings inspiration. I am making this small space online a priority once again. Since it debuted back in 2009, it has been a part of my life and followed my personal journey. Just as in life, sometimes we need a break to reevaluate, I did that, and recently the fire and passion I had for it prior was reignited. My most exciting venture will be happening later this month when my own affordable line and online shop Sensible Style officially opens! It's been in the works for some time, and since I'm creative at the core it was something I simply had to pursue. I'll debut it here, along with it's meaning, message, shop link and what goes with each purchase. Ultimately, I needed to find the drive to push forward and really give it a full go. There is always a chance it won't succeed, something being an actor for over 15 years gave me plenty of practice in, but sometimes you have to push those fears, anxieties and doubts out or your way and go for it! I'm looking forward to sharing more with all of you here in blogland, and I will continue to show a peek inside my life daily over on my Instagram, one of my favorite social media outlets. Thank you all for your continued support. I never imagined this space could grow into what it has or that I'd get to know and meet so many of you from around the world, many of whom I consider friends. Dear Bogland, As many of you know, things have been truly wonderful for me lately. I feel so thankful to be surrounded by the love of my extraordinary family, true friendships that will last a lifetime, an incredible team at work, whom I consider family, to be living in New York City, have so many supporters of my blog, here and on social media, and for where I am personally in life, on every front. I have been reminded, during many moments in my life, how short life truly is, and how important it is to truly do things you want to do, and say things you need to say, now. Living in the moment has become a new motto in my life, and a constant reminder that you have to follow your heart and live life fully in the now, today. I want to let those in my life know how thankful I am to have you in it. You are each key players in the happiness my life holds. Without out you, my life would not be as bright. However, I also want to thank those who were in my life at one time. You were a part of my story, you led me to where I am today, and it took each of you, in good times and in bad, to put me right where I think I was meant to be. For that, I will always be grateful. You need the difficult times to appreciate the great times. Each makes you stronger, helping to shape you into the person you are today, and towards who you will be in the future. To all of you who celebrate today, I hope you have a safe, healthy and Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are surrounded by love, inspiration and hopefulness, and you never forget to believe. ❤
I recently reached 1,000 Fashionable Friends, which I owe all to you!!!
I never would have imaginedthat the evening I did a search for online journals, came across a blog site named Blogspot, and signed up, that it would turn into what this blog is today!
I didn't know anything about blogging when I began, I'm not even sure I knew what the word blog meant! I only tried it because I enjoyed writing, sharing, creativity and fashion, but mostly putting together looks that didn't cost a lot. Mostly becauseI noticed that I always gained the most compliments on affordable items.
I honestly never expected anyone to follow along, or was that why I began. I simply ended up jumping on the blogging train for myself when it was just beginning, and am so glad I too that leap that night.
I still remember one of my first followers, and not believing that someone was interested in what I posted! Her name was Anna, Anna Saccone from Ireland, and since that day, she and I have become friends, though we have not yet met in person.
She has been so supportive since day one, and I could not be more thrilled with all of her success and just how far her journey has taken her! In that time, she moved, got engaged, married, her dogs had puppies and she is now pregnant with a little girl! As well as created quite a successful beauty channel TheStyleDiet and daily blog channel TheSacconeJolys with her witty, kind, happy and full of personality husband Jonathan aka Jofus on YouTube! :)
Needless to say, this blog has become a true passion of mine, and I have met so many people from around the world in blogland, as I refer to it, whom I now consider friends! All of your support has been nothing short of positive, encouraging and straight up kind and inspiring!
Therefore, I wanted to do something for all of you to say, "Thank You!!!"

It has been a whirlwind the past few days, but I am officially moved out of my place, and am now spending some final quality moments with many of the people who have been a big part of my life during the past 9 years in LA LA Land!
A big part of that was the group of lovely ladies who made up what we called the "Citizen Dames." We would meet weekly at the ArcLight in Hollywood for a meal and catching up, followed by a movie together, and it was so nice having that constant in my life!

Their support has been wonderful, and each has their own special qualities and talents, which makes the group diverse, and always entertaining and fun!

Specifically, Senta, Aileen, Kimberly, Kendra, Ginette, Amber and Lisa for your friendship, making my time in Hollyweird brighter and the many memories we all shared! I will always look back on our time and smile! :)

I opened by blog in 2009, but didn't start really blogging until 2010 and began blogging frequently in 2011.
What are 1-2 reasons you started blogging?
Honestly, I didn't really know what blogging was when I began. I opened an account simply to keep a book I was writing at the time backed up somewhere, but not published.
What type of blogs do you like to follow/read?
I love fashion, DIY, interior design, crafty and food blogs best, and check out photography and beauty ones from time to time too!
What is one thing you would like to improve on as a blogger on your blog?
I would like to start having better Look of the Day posts in various locations...I plan to get on that once settled in NYC! :)
