RED CARPET LOOKS: MY GOLDEN GLOBES 2016 TOP PICKS FEATURING CHIC SKETCH

Mermaid Prom Dresses

Happy Monday, Everyone!

Firstly, I want to wish my sister a very Happy 40th Birthday, I just know it is going to be an incredible decade for her!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.  Mine was productive and ended beautifully watching the 2016 Golden Globe Awards sitting by a cozy file with a great glass of red wine.

Having been a professional TV and Film actor for over 15 years, I've always enjoyed award shows, even when I was little, and seeing fellow actors, witnessing their accomplishments and getting to view their red carpet looks.  Plus, who doesn't love a fancy dress and feeling glamorous! :)

Below are some of my top picks from last night's star studded event along with a special treat for FF4SS readers.  Emily Brickel Adelson from the popular Fashion App known as Chic Sketch and her team have shared some sketches of my top looks with me to share with all of you.

Share your top picks in the comments below, I'd love to see the looks you loved and share them with other fashionistas in bogland!

RED CARPET LOOK: ACADEMY AWARD STYLE PERFECTION

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

Sorry for being off of my usual posting schedule, I'm hoping to be back to my normal routine by next week!

I'm just now starting to get fully back on my feet after being sick again, and am trying to catch up on my move, which was stopped halfway due to it all, and get back to my consistent blogging schedule!

For those of you who watched the Academy Awards on Sunday evening, I really enjoyed the show, despite what many reviews and critiques have to say!

As for the red carpet, I thought there were many lovely gowns, but the one dress, style, hair, make-up, details, silhouette and structure that graced the red carpet in true perfection for me was the lovely Halle Berry in Versace!

Check back this week for lots of pictures from my MIA days and I'm planning a couple fun DIY projects around the corner!  Yay! :)  Have a lovely rest of the week and thank you again for your patience!

MY TOP RED CARPET LOOKS AT THE 2012 GOLDEN GLOBES

Happy Sunday, Fashionable Friends!

Just a quick Sunday post with my picks for best dressed on the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe awards! There were many lovely looks, but I chose some that stood out to be as classic and that I would have worn.

Overall, it was a night for shimmering neutrals and seems that those caught my eye most when I realized the names I wrote down along with some great jewel tones. Some of my top picks are all simple, classic and elegant...

SELMA HYACK

DIANE LANE

DAME HELEN MIREM

KATE BECKINSALE
in Roberto Cavalli

JESSICA ALBA
in Gucci

Some others I liked that suited the celebrity wearing them were Sofia Vergara
in Vera Wang, Charlize Theron in Christian Dior, Nicole Kidman in Versace and Modonna in Reem Acra.

As well as the back of the dress worn by Claire Danes in J. Mendel, the color of Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Maria Lucia Hohan and Laura Dern in Andrew Gn and simplicity of Stacy Keibler in Valentino. I also think Jane Fonda looked amazing for her age, just as George Clooney pointed out backstage after winning, though the picture does not do it justice!

What were some of your favorite looks of the night?

Hope you had a lovely weekend and check back tomorrow for a super fun and trendy giveaway!

AFFORDABLE RED CARPET LOOK

Remember the time that Sharon Stone sported a simple black T-shirt from The Gap at the 1998 Academy Awards aka Oscars, which she had pulled from her very own closet?

Well, I was lucky enough to attend the T-Mobile Sidekick LX Launch Party at Paramount Studio in Los Angeles last month, and true to my usual style and the theme of this blogspot, I put an affordable look together straight from my own closet, just like Ms. Stone did. However, my look was not just the T-shirt, but the entire ensemble!

Anywho, I thought it might be fun to show how you can create and put together a look that is suitable for the red carpet, which is usually graced by celebrities sporting the latest fashions right off the runway that often hold a designer name and very high price tags, or any evening out, but by instead wearing things that are anything but pricey or designer, unless purchased at Marshall's or TJ Maxx for a fraction of the price!

Below is a picture of me at the T-Mobile Sidekick LX Launch Party on the red carpet where you can see the look I created, relatively last minute for the event. I even got compliments on the below look from celebrities who were sporting the designer looks and price tags, and one asked where I got my necklace! :)

You can read all about the T-Mobile Sidekick LX Launch Party and see more pictures over at
FilmIndustryBlogggers.com where I post every Wednesday as The Actor if you are interested! :)

That is so can get a clear, overall idea of the look, and below is the same picture of me on the red carpet at the event, but with a price breakdown of each and every item I am wearing, where I bought it, and the total for the look.

Do you want to create the above look for an event you are attending or a fun evening out?

Well, since I had put my look together from things I had collected over the years and were already in my closet, I have browsed online and found you a look very similar to the one I wore on the red carpet last month. Each of the items I found are currently available online in case you want to purchase any of the items in the look!

My Affordable Red Carpet Look Recreated:
Total Look = $ 92.69

Hopefully this gave you a fun idea of how even looks you see in the magazines, on blogs, TV, etc. showing looks from the red carpet, can be affordable and from all of your favorite bargain shopping places!

Thanks so much for stopping by and feel free to let me know your questions, thoughts, ideas, or anything you would like to see here and I will do my best to answer them and put a look together that suits your needs and wants, and I hope you have a Wonderful Week ahead! :)
