THROWBACK THURSDAY: PORTRAYING MY COUSIN, AND ACTOR, ZITA JOHANN

It's always nice to look back on fun times, experiences and memories in life.

So, today, I'm here with a Throwback Thursday, which I do often over on my Instagram.  It allows me to share things from the past, here, with you today.

Some of you, who have been following my blog for some time, may know that I am related to the lovely and talented Zita Johann.  She starred in the original version of "The Mummy" back in 1932, opposite Boris Karloff.

While living in Los Angeles, I was asked to portray my cousin, Zita, in a documentary, for a biopic on Boris Karloff, called "Kreating Karloff."  In it, I play Zita, as Helen Grosvenor, from the classic 1932 version of "The Mummy."

You can see my relation to Zita Johann on this family tree.

While at a red carpet event, at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, I had the pleasure of meeting Boris's daughter, Sara Karloff.  She approached me at a red carpet event to say, she thought I did a beautiful job in the film portraying Zita and it was an honor to meet me.

Needless to say, it meant so much to me.  Especially, since her dad worked alongside Zita in the film.  However, I assure you, it was far more of an honor for me to meet her.  She was truly delightful!

Here's to a look back, good memories and living life to the fullest.
