LOOK 4 LESS: SUMMER MAXI DRESS AND FLOPPY HAT READER'S REQUEST


Happy Friday, Fabulous Followers!!!

Many of you probably know the Marvelous Melissa from "Write it in Lipstick," well, I happen to be a fan of her wonderful dress filled style and belted fashions!

Recently, she wrote me asking if I could find her a long, flowy maxi dress with a large, floppy hat and big sized leather bag Look 4 Less for summer and I was excited to start my hunt!

It sounded like a lovely look and something I thought many might be interested in, including myself. So, below is what I came up with for her, and I actually purchased this very dress online. I have gotten compliments on my Forever 21 maxi dresses in the past and think they hold up pretty well!

I came across some other fun leather bag options as well, which I thought I would post so that Melissa, and even you, would have options as far as the style purse she likes best for the look she hopes to create!

The one I posted with the look seemed a bit more lightweight for summer, but I have to say I love alternate Bag #1 as well and think it would look fantastic too, but might be a bit more perfect for fall.

I think the above look can be dressed up or down, would look great belted as well with a matching brown leather belt to tie in the bag and neutral hat.

You can always pair it with a little sweater or lightweight jacket in case it gets cool...so it is very versatile!

    this is such a cute look! I wish I was taller so I could wear maxi dresses. I did have a question and I'm hoping you could help. I am looking for a dress to wear to my friend's outdoor wedding at the beginning of June. It's formal, but I'm looking for something inexpensive and that I might be able to wear again. I have plenty of lbds, but they've gotten so much use. So, I guess I'm looking for a way to make one of my lbds look "fresh" or a new dress that doesn't cost a ridiculous amount... Help!

    I'm a huge fan of the floppy hat- my mom has a straw one that I always borrow when I go to their lake home. I need a "petite girls" answer to the maxi dress though. Maybe shorts and a tank instead with the hat?

    I love this dress it is such a great print and I didnt know F21 had this. I have like a $5 gift card to them so it would cost even less... This is so pretty I so love it.
