LIFE: REMEMBERING 9-11 - 13 YEARS LATER

Just a quick post as I, along with the rest of the world, remember September 11th.

At this time 13 years ago, I had just moved to NYC for the first time.  Tragedy struck, and New York City and the world would never be the same.

Finding myself living in NYC, yet again, and this time near ground zero, where it all took place, there isn't a single time where I look up at the Freedom Tower, from my apartment roof deck or out at the skyline, and I am not reminded of the day I was here in the midst of it all.

To this very day, each and every time I look at the Manhattan skyline, I miss the Twin Towers.  To me, that was the iconic New York City skyline, and as much as I love NYC, and am happy to be back, it has never been, and will never be, the same to me.

Take a little extra time today to let those whom you love, know you love them, and the same to all those in your life you care about.  Life is short, and I hope it doesn't take another tragic event, like today in history 13 years ago, to remind us of this.

Sending everyone in Blogland an extra smile and hug today!
