WEDDING WEDNESDAY: TO HAVE A VIDEOGRAPHER, OR NOT TO HAVE A VIDEOGRAPHER, THAT IS THE QUESTION

I suppose some questions I have asked myself since getting engaged, among others is...Do I want a videographer? Should I have a videographer? Is it worth having a videographer?

At first, even though I think they are nice and I enjoy looking at others, I thought I don't really need one and that would be a somewhere money doesn't have to be spent. Especially with it being spent in endless other places, thought my mother had mentioned it might be nice.

That said, I would love to share this sweet and touching wedding video with you, which I first saw on Jacin's Lovely Little Details blog awhile back!

It was this sweet and simple video that convinced me my mother just might be right in thinking that hiring a videographer is worth it to look back on in years to come and just be able to enjoy, after the fact, since the day will be so busy, go by quickly and many moments might missed or a bit of a blur.

Awhile back, Sara started following my blog, which was such an honor and I received the sweetest message from her! Just recently, I asked if I could feature her video on my blog and she was so happy and excited to share it with all of you here! :)

Also, there is something so genuine, sweet and touching about seeing a man tear up or get emotional when he sees his bride walk down the aisle toward him...it makes my heart melt and smile every time! :)

I tend to get emotional at pretty much every wedding I have ever attended, but it is such a big, special and meaningful day, I'm not sure how you can't at least be touched! Enjoy...the song choice is lovely too!

To see endless pictures from her wedding, all the details and much more, please stop by her lovely blog First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage, Then Comes Life and say, "Hello!"

She truly is a beautiful person inside and out and I feel so lucky to have met her in blogland! Thank you, Sara!!!

So, what are your thoughts on having a videographer? If you had one at yours, what would be your tips on moments you enjoyed having captured, if you are so willing to share! :)

  2. I think ideally, you would know someone who would be willing to do it for you for fairly cheap :) I think its a neat idea and there are so many options for editing too! My vote is yes!

  3. Yes, definitely yes! I cannot stress how valuable our video from our wedding is in keeping every single detail of that wonderful day always in our memories. There are so many moments you miss or forget because you are so in the moment and, like you said, the day does go by quickly. My husband and I are so happy to be able to watch our video over and over again and know we will be able to show it to our children one day and they will be able to live that moment with us. In addition, it was so important for us because so many friends and family were not able to attend our wedding (we got married in my hometown in Portugal; my husband is from Canada where I now live) so they still got to see every moment because of that video. I can tell you one thing: you won't regret it.

I don't think you will regret it either...it was our number one best decision (aside from picking each other) ;-) HUGS

  6. I would say if you can afford it definitely do it. We didnt have one..but we had family using their cam cord and recorded the whole day....when you edit and piece it together like a little movie it comes out so beautifully...and you can get this professionally done...and is still a cheaper option if you dont want to spend the Thousands it will cost you. x

  15. I must admit... I didnt have a video and I am SO sad I didn't!! I love our pictures but you can see so much more with the video. And truly, the reason we didn't have one was because I forgot about it... haha! Oops! But I think you would live it so so much!
